So what can you do?
The best way to protect yourself from measles is to get vaccinated. The measles vaccine is safe and effective, and it's recommended for everyone over the age of six months. If you're not sure whether you've been vaccinated, talk to your doctor. And if you haven't been vaccinated, get vaccinated as soon as possible.
It's also important to practice good hygiene. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze, and avoid touching your face. If you do get sick, stay home and avoid contact with others to prevent spreading the virus.
