As we continue to navigate through these trying times, it’s important that we remain vigilant in our efforts to keep our communities healthy and safe. One important aspect of this is having policies in place to prevent the spread of communicable diseases. At our facility, we have implemented an exclusion policy for sickness and communicable diseases. This policy outlines when employees and residents should stay home if they are experiencing symptoms of illness or have been in close contact with someone who has a communicable disease. We understand that it can be difficult to stay home when you’re feeling unwell, but it’s crucial for the health and safety of everyone in our community. By staying home when you’re sick, you’re helping to prevent the spread of illness to those around you. In addition to our exclusion policy, we also have a policy in place for outbreaks of communicable disease in care home settings. This policy outlines the steps we take to prevent the spread of illness in the event of an outbreak. We take these policies very seriously and continually educate our staff and residents on the importance of following them. We regularly review and update our policies based on current guidelines and recommendations from health organizations. As part of our efforts to keep our community healthy, we’d like to share some tips on preventing the spread of communicable diseases: - Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. - Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, then throw the tissue away. - Avoid close contact with people who are sick. - Stay home if you’re feeling unwell. Together, we can all do our part to prevent the spread of communicable diseases and keep our community healthy. Thank you for your continued cooperation and support.
